This is the George who piloted Hofri Ghostforge on that commander episode years ago? I haven't watched much, but remember him as being the key part of one of the funniest games I've seen.

I was guessing that you came up with a great last line and developed the opinion working backwards from that.

That first trailer was incredible, but it hurt the movie for me. It wrote a check that couldn't be cashed until Andor came out.

Hearing it alone in a car, it sounded silly. Hearing the hook sung by a club full of Chapel Hill women, it felt like a work of genius.

Is this a Hades 2 reference in an MtG post? I feel seen.

Something from Beat the Champ. Either Werewolf Gimmick or Choked Out.

A whole season centered around Dewey Crowe's kin should've been a joy, but he was an absolute turd there.

I'm trying to figure out how many years it'll be before ICE agents are the faceless fodder unit you mow down in a mainstream FPS.

It helps that they're already wearing masks and military gear.

The good Chinese restaurants are often crowded and a bit rundown from the heavy traffic. Loud, poor ambience and you may be sharing a 12 top with a few other groups.

Whoever runs that tree-planting company's marketing needs a raise.

Getting back to the main thread, these old games prepared us for Silksong. My son was in awe of how I could endure an hour of getting slaughtered by Last Judge with no sign of frustration.

Megaman 2 in the legacy collection has a rewind button. Quickman stage still feels impossible.

Camellia, the Seedmiser? It could derail into a squirrel deck though

Am I reading it wrong or was that Skenes game the Toronto game on 8/18? Last night he pitched 5 scoreless innings against Baltimore and left with a 1 run lead that didn't hold.

Robert Caro had this story in The Power Broker, where transit people begged Bob Moses to either build railway in the middle of a planned Long Island highway or just leave space there so they could build it later on.

Instead, he had the road built in a way where the ground could never support rail.

I thought I was a decent writer coming into college and once asked a friend who'd been some HS journalism finalist to look over a short paragraph I wrote.

I'll never forget how kindly yet ruthlessly he picked it apart and fixed it. It was nothing to him and totally beyond me.

There's this Steinbeck quote in East of Eden.

"Indeed, most vices are attempted short cuts to love. When a man comes to die, no matter what his talents and influence and genius, if he dies unloved his life must be a failure to him and his dying a cold horror."

I think about this a lot these days.

Yep, Lucas Lee. A skate boarder turned actor and sellout. He circled back to the role for the Scott Pilgrim anime series, also on Netflix. It's great and he's great in it.

Strong hot dirt bag energy there.
