What moderates and liberals underestimate is how much of the GOP kool-aid the white evangelical Christian community in the U.S. has drunk. Since Reagan it’s been a decline in logic and blind worship of the far-right. They married religion and politics, which breeds a monster.

While a tragic and senseless loss of life, the biggest eye opener about Charlie Kirk’s death is how MAGA has made him into a sort of holy martyr. He wasn’t. His beliefs were anti-human in so many ways. The blending of truth and fiction is a symptom of a growing evil in society.

I’ve thought about what has led most to this boiling point across so many western societies and it must be, as Hannah Arendt pointed out, apathy. Good men doing nothing in the face of growing evil. We all need to wake up and stand up against this.

Charlie Kirk once said that empathy is a “made-up, new age term” and that he couldn’t stand it. Well, it looks like empathy is what will help get your family through this. Empathy is exactly what humanity needs right now.

This picture says it all about America. A country that touts itself for being “Christian” (Christ-like) and stands for everything the opposite of that. These are indeed very dark days for the United States because if things don’t change they’ll only get worse.

I walked 21km around the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro last week. I still have blisters but they were worth it because I got to see this view. We have such a beautiful home on this planet we all share. It’s worth fighting for. 🌍 We can’t keep failing her.

How bizarre to see things like this posted by Trump’s supporters. Honor? Do they even know what that word means? Anyone who knows the definition of honor would demand Trump’s resignation and vote out the majority of Congress and blast the rich. Our fathers died in wars for this? No. No they didn’t.

If you research the political career and approaches of Hitler’s Joseph Goebbels and compare him with Trump’s Stephen Miller it’s a bit eerie. Two propagandists nearly a century apart.
