He has the urge to swipe at the markings to tug them out of him in some way despite the fact that he knows it’s impossible. There’s something horribly intimate about seeing proof of Zoro inside him, a reminder that for now Sanji’s body is shared.

Zoro swears. “Not good enough, I guess.” “Two more?” Sanji confirms as Zoro affixed Shusui to his waist. “Yeah,” Zoro grunts. He reaches up and tugs at the bandana covering his eyes. This time it peels off, revealing a head of tousled gray hair. Sanji has a feeling that's not It's natural color. Zoro's smile returns, smaller this time, as he scrubs his hand through it. His earrings swing as Sanji takes in the entirety of his face for the first time.

“I’m not telling you,” he huffs. It sounds petulant but Zoro doesn’t know how to change that. Sanji laughs and for the first time in a while, it’s not cruel. “You sound pretty disappointed down there. That bad, huh?” Zoro sits up, not wanting to talk to Sanji lying down. “I’ve never asked for someone’s number before. I forgot. I’m not some prince charming like you.” Sanji squats down next to him and gives him an idiotic grin. “You think I’m charming?” Zoro immediately shoves him into the grass and Sanji grabs him, dragging them both down as they struggle in the stupidest wrestling match Zoro’s ever gotten himself into.

A person made entirely of shadows stands atop the stone. Bits and pieces of his body flicker in and out of existence as the darkness drips from his limbs and the light around them shifts under the falling snow. It can only be the work of a devil fruit but Sanji has never seen anything like it before. A snowflake drifts into Sanji’s mouth and he’s forced to close it. He hadn’t realized it was open. Whoever—whatever—this is looks to be staring back at him. Sanji can’t see his eyes under the hood of a covering atop his head. Something tied back across his forehead like a bandana. But there is the dark sink of eyesockets and the occasional glimmer of light where the shadow breaks, caught in the flickering of the snow-bright afternoon. Even shadows can't persist under the glare. Almost as soon as he appears, the grin Sanji thought he saw on the man’s face disappears as his mouth pulls into a frown. “Who the fuck are you? Why do you look like that?” Sanji splutters at the absurd question. The immediate rudeness of it throwing him off kilter. “Why do I look like—why do you look like that?”
