High speed rail is the way to go, and might I add, rather enjoyable. So much more pleasant than flying or driving.

There is a lot from the article that is clearly drawn from the book, but it's the direct theft of lines and phrasing that gets me. Also, a quote from my book is attributed to Roxane Gay. I don't want to be a jerk but I have to stand up for myself. I am really tired of my work being stolen.

The writer Amaia Odriozol has plagiarized my book High Heel in a recent article for El Pais English. I'm flattered when people are inspired by my work, but this rises to the level of plagiarism and isn't okay. It is one thing to paraphrase me when discussing my book, but my book is never mentioned.

I'm so honored that one of my essays, an except from my book High Heel, was included in an art exhibition at the Contemporary Art Galleries at UConn ❤️

The show is called "And All That Remained Was Her Beauty," a line from Ovid that I reference in the section "Daphne in Flight, Daphne in Flower."

I took these when she was last at Orsay, because I was like, wow, this woman can totally see us right now. I guess I just mean that his portraits are extremely alive, but also, who knows...
