Fun fact: I used a drawing of the rue plant from an art book I had as a reference for the overall shape of the scar :)) I'm gonna work on it more as I'm still not completely happy with how it is, but I'm liking the direction that it's heading so far.

In the last drawing, I've been considering redesigning Rue's scar and trying to incorporate the magic aspect in some way as a contributor to the healing process.

Rue is more tender-headed and doesn't like/trust when other people touch their hair much, so they really only trust their dad to do the hairstyles if they want/need help, as over the years, he was the only one who was able to do it carefully without causing Rue much discomfort.

I imagine that Rue's dad was the one who usually took care of their hair growing up, until Rue started to do it on their own.

The other drawings I'm just messing around a bit more with the idea of him having locs.

On the second drawing, I did some concept drawings of what their hair would look like throughout the different stages (and throughout the story) of her having her locs. I'm quite happy with how it turned out, although I still need to research and practice drawing the hair more.

After some events that happen in the Modern AU, Ray would go through a really low period of his life. This led him to act in a self destructive way, falling back on bad habits, where he became more reckless, putting himself in dangerous situations and getting into a lot more fights.
