Ginko progress as of tonight. Hoping tomorrow I can add the sleeves, maybe the facings/collar? Trying to get the sewing on this done by the end of the month. Once the blazer is done I can draft the skirt (need the jacket to see how long I can make the yoke on the skirt) and then the Dickie.

Just trusting the process. It’s a lot of work, and my neck is a wreck so I have to pause, but the work is worth it for the look. I’m learning a lot and will know exactly how to do my new Chibiusa wig later, along with my own up-do wigs! I’ve seen improvement as I progress.

Realized I had a gap in the part that I needed to fill so excuse the one loose piece in the second photo. But, wig progress!

Needs varnish/sealant, the crystal, and she’s done.
I’ve been feeling Not Great about the costumes I’m working on, so I hope that attitude changes soon. I’m not sure what hump I need to get over to feel good again…

Wrapping foam forms in hair is a long, annoying process. Hoping that the end result is still good (and that I haven’t made the bottom hole too small to fit over the bottle stub, or I’ll have to make something else for that.

I think I cut off some of this hair TOO short… so, doing some triage, heavily gluing some lace on top of the cut area. Just hoping to make a base to glue the batting to. @_@

Started the work to grind down the details on the back of this wand… because the one I started with had the details on both sides, but canonically that’s not how it is.

I’m shocked this wig cut turned out this good. Took me 3 hours to cut and shape the back, but it’s done!

Oh look, those pieces were actually the perfect length. I felt like they might be too short, but NOPE. Perfect.

These won’t last. They will need repair/touch-ups after every wear, if I get more than one wear out of them. I just had to add some more caulk and will need another round of paint, but they will be called “done” by the end of the day. I’m making that call before o needlessly sink more time.

When you have a pair of unused shoes that are nearing natural end of life… you don’t feel bad getting a little crazy experimenting with them.
