they said the key is always an int number yet loaded as a float which causes an extra ".0" to show when converted to a string, so by this method they will always trace off the last two characters, or they could simply convert the key to int before converting it to a string

you can use "left" or "substr" functions to remove the extra ".0" from the returned dictionary key string
something like:
str(dictionary["Key"]).left(str(dictionary["Key"]).length()-2)
