There’s an older guy in Golden Gate Park at the renamed Blue Heron Lake who is often there feeding a very elderly looking group of crows 🐦⬛ They clearly know and are fond him. My 2 yr old granddaughter loves watching him feed /interact with them.

Recently listened to this book by Tim Alberta. And wow…was it ever eye-opening about what the hell is going on in Evangelical churches…these people are in a full blown cult. Jesus/God like behavior isn’t important in their churches any longer. Many pastors looking the other way for MAGA.

Read this over the holidays..and OMG..it’s so damn good. It’s described as a reimagining of “The Tales of Huckleberry Finn” and it’s wonderful..chock full of not so subtle commentary about racism in this country. Do yourself a favor & read it…absolutely worth your time.

I’m currently listening to this…you know who was a big supporter of Franco and fascism..this lovely cult that some members on our Supreme Court as well as Attorney General Bill Barr have played footsie with…interesting look at history/corruption of Opus Dei and their accumulation of power.

Just finished this..the latest from Ruth Reichl..highly recommend to those interested in some delightful escapism. I’ve been reading tons these last few weeks trying to distract myself from all the distressing news after the election. This so nicely fits that bill. #BookSky

I’m a fan of fish-spatulas like this one..some have a silicone wrap..and some have the bent handle you’re looking for. I use them for many things…cookies, pancakes, scrambled eggs, etc.

I recommend it often, too. Definitely leaves an impression. I’m reading this right now which you might also find of interest…a true story about a husband and wife’s escape from slavery. Very good. Unbelievablely cruel what so many who suffered under slavery had to endure.

Not necessarily just a manosphere, and not necessarily unwarranted paranoia…have a book recommendation for you…Dr. Shanahan is a biochemist as well as an MD..and she makes a powerful argument for why avoiding seed oils would be better for us…feeling like this is going to be the next trans fat fiasco

Seth…big fan…appreciate your insights/expertise you offer here..before you toss the seed oil skeptics in w/the rest of these hucksters you might want to take a look at this recent book. Compelling/well researched. Dr. Shanahan clearly has the education/qualifications to be considered an expert here

I’m currently listening to this book…starts w/ Roy Cohn as the role model for current day grift, dishonesty and hucksterism that exists in the Republican Party. It’s pretty much convinced me that 1/2 of the GOP are conmen..the other 1/2 are gullible dupes 😒easily misled by their racism/grievance.
