My kids and their friends love 90s music. I’m sure there are kids out there who’ve never heard it, but I think most appreciate it. Weezer seems especially popular amongst them.

I was listening to Green Day one day and my daughter came in and said, “you know about Green Day?!” I said, “um, My generation invented Green Day!” They definitely listen to 90s music.

I do remember Challenger pretty vividly, but I remember crying on the bus when talking about Jim Henson dying. And then Michael Landon died, I guess a year later, but in my memory it was much closer timewise.

The deal is only until January!!
Now they can negotiate for healthcare and when Republicans still refuse they can validly show all voters who refused to make the deal.

But Democrats are out here doing Republican’s jobs for them by declaring they are leaving the party and dragging the party. SMH.

I never said I think it’s over because the shutdown may end. But at least those air traffic controllers won’t be working through yet another pay period for free. You are threatening them just as much Trump by asking them to continue working for who knows how long w/ no pay. What have you sacrificed?

We won’t stop fighting to get back the healthcare the Republicans have snatched away in this bill. We need the American people to push back along with us. Don’t let them continue to hold you hostage as they have been for the last 36+ days.

We now realize that Republicans would rather Americans lose their paychecks, jobs, homes, healthcare and more than sacrifice any amount of tax cuts for their billionaire besties.

We could not continue to watch Americans suffer when we could prevent at least some of it.
November 10, 2025 at 10:54 PM
What we didn’t know then was there was no amount of American suffering that Republicans aren’t willing to look away from. We did not anticipate their willingness to withhold paychecks and food from hardworking Americans. You can not negotiate with people who have no soul.
November 10, 2025 at 10:53 PM
How long are you able to go without a paycheck? Willing to have to use food banks that are running out of food? Continue to work everyday with no pay? To have your livelihood held hostage for “the cause.” You aren’t fighting for me if you are just as blind to the suffering as the GOP.

This country continually asks the few to sacrifice for the good of the whole. Most were willing for a reasonable time. It has become unreasonable and it’s just as bad for Dems who have been and will continue to get paid to expect those who aren’t to continue to suck it up. No. Find another way.
November 10, 2025 at 9:39 PM
Agree the Dems were fighting and they still are. But you can’t negotiate with people with no soul. The GOP does not care if Americans not being paid lose their homes, jobs, can’t eat. They would keep going for God knows how long. That is not sustainable by the few people actually having to sacrifice
November 10, 2025 at 9:35 PM
You were building momentum on the backs of Americans looking at a 3rd missed pay check. Easy for those still getting paid to say it was worth it to stay the course. Not so much those who are having to use over capacity food banks to eat. The people were at the breaking pt. of staying on your side.

Blaming those Dems votes for keeping healthcare from Americans only plays into the GOPs hand. Tell it like it is. The DEMS fought and want to fight for healthcare. They tried to force the GOP to keep premiums steady. There is only so many lost paychecks Americans can afford too. Hands were tied.
