Hope you guys enjoy watching the matches. US fan here but I think the Euros this summer will be pretty great to watch as well. We don't really have a major competition for a while so it's cool that those games are available to watch.

When we are able to play European teams in away friendlies, we traditionally play 2 different teams & travel between those countries b/c the distance is much shorter. We played England & the Netherlands in the late fall, both away matches & over a 4 day period of time. Hope this was helpful 🙂

As the FIFA windows/breaks are short, normally 8 days or so, we traditionally play the same team twice in a row while in the US for friendlies. I'm guessing they save some time & expense playing back to back matches against the same teams since we aren't competing for anything right now.

Some other regions are playing more competitive matches right now and/or are gearing up for the Euros this summer. Brazil is in a similar situation to us and I'd guess they want to play as many of the best teams available for friendlies while they continue to grow their team too.

These are friendlies during the international break. FIFA sets these windows for all countries to play matches. Right now we aren't qualifying for or competing in a tournament. I'd consider it a building period for our team to add depth & see who can help the team for the next World Cup.
