Yes you are right. They are thinking of French kings but think they mean English kings. Sadly education is lacking in maga types.

True. I think they are thinking French kings but last king was 1700s. The king in England didn’t suppress them. They wanted freedom to follow an extreme form of Puritanism. Most others eg Irish, Italians etc went to escape poverty. Sadly the better life they envisioned was much poorer and harsher.
