weekend experiment: a simple instrument that, technically, uses only one string.

it's always in tune with itself, and there's only a single tuning peg.

it should sound better once I find a proper string that long - had to use a fishing line for now

Simply in awe of @bolt.new/ @stackblitz.com's commitment to supporting Open Source.

No one is asking them to do this, they're doing it because it's right. This is how it's done.
Bolt 100K Open Source Fund
We're doubling down on our support to Open Source in 2025 with a 100K fund targeted at web infrastructure and Bolt dependencies.

Deployed a WebContainer version (still early stage). It keeps unbelievable to me that @stackblitz.com made possible to run Node.js inside the browser!

Omg I just found a score I wrote 23 years ago that I was absolutely sure did not exist anymore.
Words can't explain how this feels.

Iconify is one of the greatest resources I know for icons in your app or website.

1️⃣ Go to iconify.design
2️⃣ Find the perfect icon and copy it's name,
3️⃣ Ask Bolt to "use the [icon name] from iconify"

4️⃣ Spread the word so everyone can have this superpower

The faster we're moving, the more we fill our challenges quota to the brim, the more we loose our empathy.
Let's stop and feel a little every now and then.

Prompt an app into existence from Raycast.
December 11, 2024 at 4:33 PM
Did you know you can start a Bolt project by adding
`?prompt=` to the URL like this?
💡 #bolttip

It also allows for all kinds of cool lightweight integrations with Bolt; e.g. you can dynamically create a prompt in your app or website — then open Bolt already running it! 🤯

💡Bolt Tip:

For every change, the AI recreates the whole file — even if only 1 line needed updating!

Turn on the experimental "Diffs" setting to make Bolt output only changes to the necessary lines.

This results in even 10x faster updates and -20% tokens reduction!

Here's how:

Today we're excited to launch a highly requested feature preview: Diff Based Edits.

Diffs allow the AI to edit individual lines of code instead of rewriting entire files, making edits *much* faster & decreasing token usage ~20% on avg (and far more on large files).

I thought I was being smart pushing the thing as far as I could and that it would break and here's the result
The model only tripped on forgetting a default export (kind of mistake I would do lol)
The image export does work
This is just insane

✍️ AI coding tip: Automatically keep a log of what, why & how decisions were made. Great for education.

> Make sure to keep a log of what, why and how you did what you did in fyi(dot)md. Keep it updated.

Works well with Bolt, v0, Replit, Cursor, Cline etc.
