For starters you have to double block build around insulation. Roofs must be double wrapped (no idea what that means) - heat is air to air or air to water in an air tight house- which you have to pay to be tested- and (I live in a city) city contributions are now ten times what they were.

I don’t know a huge amount but I built a house 15 yrs ago and was recently told by an insurance assessor it would cost me twice as much today to build it and my house wouldnt pass current codes by a long shot. In 15 yrs there have been 3 serious revisions to code. So must be something in it.

It is. And it’s a fab move- schools I know of are embracing it and making it work. That and free books is huge

The School Meals Scheme has been phased in over last few years. All primary schools now eligible. Food free to students. Hot meals or prepared sandwiches.
