This exchange is of the reasons I'm so very glad there's a viable, reliable, similarly designed alternative to twt. During my boycott, I desperately missed The Smart.

(I refuse to call That Platform by the name in which its Destroyer has rebranded it. If I ever do, I've been taken to the camps.)

What I don't know is how prevalent or encouraged is the use of TWs. Haven't seen any yet, but I've only been here a couple hours.

Oh! One thing I learned right away that I already appreciate: we don't have to use euphemisms! If I had to read about a woman that had been "graped" & "unalived" I think I might have killed someone.

Words have meaning & if we can't talk about topics & problems openly, they can't be solved. (9/?)

I don't anticipate the feed to be flooded with memes or commentary about the Tannies. It seems like, as a refuge from everything that went wrong with Twt (I will die b4 I call it that other name), the people & organizations that stand against Cheetolini et al would be prevalent. (7/?)

So far, so good. Scrolled a bit thru the feed or whatever it's called (✍️: learn site-specific terminology) & I don't know how, but it was mostly filled w/several of those creators/channels, contributors & articles I'd end up reading anyway. (5/?)

That relief prompted a disconnect from TT (also anticipating its deletion), and IG never really filled the need for interaction.

So, until now, I'd relied on a carefully curated list of channel subs on YT. Today, I saw several posts & videos mentioning the creators or partners had come here. (4/?)
