Did a paint test for glove band trim (making the inner color pearl) and final paint for silver button in the middle of Saturn’s brooch and tiara beads!

Button turned out perfect, as did the beads, tho I’ll likely give them one more gloss coat. Likely the test trims too, still too gold

If anyone happens to have this and can let go of a yard, please let me know!!

I'm aware of the Sage line of trims which look similar, & come in metallic gold, gunmetal, and pearl, but are too small at around 1.4cm (these are 1.9cm).)

I love how search engines are so shitty, that I have *THREE* product manufacturing numbers for this trim, but nada except for this one shop.

This is the trim. (The bigger pearls are about 1.9mm wide.) Gods fucking help me it's been TEN YEARS
An ABS imitation flat-back pearl sewing trim of medallions alternating between 1.9mm wide and I think about .5mm wide? The larger pearls are ensconced in a golden scalloped border.

Once sunny days are back, I'm excited to share more of my kimono collection as I finally air them all out again! Having a tansu for them now makes it all so much easier.

One day, *ONE DAY*, I will either find the exact beaded lace used for this costume, or figure out how tf it all works and do it myself.

This has been driving me NUTS for 10 years now. I'm still determined to make this cosplay as accurate as humanly possible!

Here she is: a gorgeous late-ish Showa (1970s) kimono tansu!!!

The hardware is *gorgeous* plum blossoms, even sharing the same texture on the door hinges! It comes with a key so the doors and all drawers lock, and one of the little drawers has a secret compartment!
