District heating in Finland has started using electric boilers and heat pumps as source for household heating in cities. Thus electricity replaces using Fossil fuels (or biomass) when electricity is cheap - which happens when the winds are strong.

And it's alive! The fan/heatsink is totally ridiculous. I'm happy the RAM modules worked, since replacing would require removing the sink. I thought I could use an old sata SSD, but no sata here. So ended up getting an rather expensive m.2 SSD since it was the only one I could buy today...

Since february 2022, residents of Mariehamn have protested against the war every day at 17.00 in front of the russian consulate in Åland. Elsewhere the war may be forgotten as the news cycle went to other topics. But here, dozens of locals (and visitors like me) come everyday 🇦🇽 💓 🇺🇦
