Well yeah my point is that they cut out the vital parts that resulted in the American nations having actually good governments, like principles of unanimity and swift recall of representative.

Dude what the fuck are you even talking about here, the obvious twisted inconsistencies of the founders' political statements was obvious to basically everybody at the time including their direct allies and they were commented on in their letters.

Buddy there were a lot of international federations on the continent that the framers had to deal with and the iroquois confederacy was kind of a shitty violent empire. Their direct problems were related to people simply defecting to smaller egalitarian Atlantic nations.

The fact that they were outliers isn't important for 'inspiring' the American system, shouldn't they have only looked to the exceptional cases? But also they wouldn't have thought of 'mass participation' as a good thing, as the American founders didn't either. Government was a task for the wise.

Did you read my comment? That's what I was saying. Our system foreclosed those remedies intentionally, and it was not in line with most electoral democracies that existed when our constitution was written.

The idea that no remedy could be obtained is just horseshit, it's a result of the notion that the voter has one and only one opportunity to express their will and if they miss their chance it's a logistical impossibility to do anything about it, which absolves us of any responsibility to them.
