Even in my school (a regular non-linguistic school with students that have had sub-basic knowledge of English at the start) managed to teach it in a productive way, but somehow a top-10 uni of my country cannot manage to at least not make the process counterproductive

And can't forget English. Ofc English is super useful (ayo I'm writing ts in English) BUT not in the way they teach us here. Instead of any actual practice with speech, reading, writing n stuff all we do is just learn words and memorize texts. Like ugh... Idk how that's supposed to teach us anything

Like those who pay for this education (in my case Standardization and Metrology) don't only pay for IT and Physics related stuff and subjects actually related to this sphere. They also pay for:
"Russian Language and the Culture of Speech"
"Basics of Russian Sovereignty"
"History of Russia"
