On a day like today, 2 years ago, "Hug a Tree and Burn The Forest" was released.
To mark this event and remind of the on-going collapse of western economies, all 6 albums from Sugaar Pan's catalogue are set to "pay-what-you-want".

Some photos (courtesy of "Gasteiz Hoy") of the cool people that came to visit yesterday and who were kindly escorted by the local police.
Of course, as Madrid-based media keeps on reminding us, Fascism is not a thing and all this was a product of our imagination:

An excerpt of the Hispanity Day celebration in my town. Recorded by a friend.
High spirits, cheerfulness and the police beating the ones that are not self-proclaimed fascists (falangistas).
All in order.

Sweet Freeze has a 2-sided single out and it deserves all your attention! 📯
The trademark minimalism and emotional weight are there, with subtle hues of postpunk and playful experimentation.

Post a perfect album from the 90’s that isn’t Nirvana, Pearl Jam,Soundgarden or Alice In Chains

So chuffed by this review on The Third Eye!
This, pretty much this:

If you're a music lover and give a damn about musicians, remember that today is #BandcampFriday
So buy yourself something nice, it's the best way to make an impact for the better.

My picks for today, 100% recommended: krautrock, avantgarde psych and neoclassical ambient.

I'm a bit baffled by the rates explanation and it all seems a bit speculative to me to be honest, see screenshot.
That said, hoping for the best! 🤞

Cliffside urbex.
This was a clinic built to treat tuberculosis in the 1920s in Costa Daurada (Catalonia). Then it was used as a military hospital in the last Civil War. According to some locals it served as a mental institution for kids during the Regime.
Closed in the 70s.

Thanks very much for featuring "Odolezko lorea (Blood flower)" on tomorrow's show.

This track tried not to make an explicit statement but to capture a certain mood with regards to our current geopolitical situation.

Check out black_ops, it's one of the essential shows for all things avant-garde.

Great selection, dude!! Glad to see Flipper there, that's a cult album.
From the same era, another classic. I'm into other territories nowadays but I listened to it compulsively in my early 20s.
Also, from the 80s, this essential by Sonic Youth. I still drag from their crazy tunings now and then.

There's no conclusive evidence yet that the music was AI-generated or AI-assisted. No public statement from Draugveil either.
Now, I've been pulling the thread and Mr. Draugveil does exist, he had a previous project and some pics around playing with friends in your typical low-budget home studio.

Short story:

One man's Doom Metal band seemingly appears out of nowhere. The cover art is a meme. People check the album because of the goofy art and stays for the cool music. Resounding success.

Suspicions that the album might be AI generated emerge. Not only the art, but the music itself.
June 18, 2025 at 9:13 AM
For the last 24h I've been totally absorbed into Draugveil's debut album affair.

In a context of paranoia and anxiety about AI in art, this affair feels like a cultural milestone. It represents the 'zeitgeist' of our times, as they say.

A thread 🧵

Lorategi means 'garden' and it's on Bandcamp now!
@}~}~~~

This is a photo album shot during 2024-2025 with an old analog camera.
Each photo has a psychedelic instrumental track attached to it.

The music, as the photos: raw, organic and imperfect.

A reminder that the 2nd Listening Party for "Lorategi" (to be released tomorrow) will start at 20h CEST, in less than an hour.

If you missed the 1st Party and you're up for some chillment, this is your *chance*.
30mins of low-fi organic psych ambience🌸
