Sudanese Sufi-influenced thinker Mahmoud Mohamed Taha promoted “the Second Message of Islam,” interpreting the Qur’an through equality and nonviolence. He opposed authoritarian rule and was executed in 1985 for his reformist positions.

Chain of Light is a studio album by Pakistani qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, published posthumously on 20 September 2024. The album features four traditional qawwali compositions recorded in 1990. It remained unreleased until rediscovered in 2021, after being lost for 27 years.
