200 trees for Trimley Marshes 🌳

A team of volunteers helped our Warden to plant saplings where non-native species had been thinned.

Including rowan, hazel, & hawthorn these trees will provide food and nesting opportunities. Thank you to those who came out to make light work of planting 200 trees!

Our Lackford Lakes nature reserve is looking beautiful in the autumn light 🍂

Our winter bird numbers are gradually building up on the reserve as winter flocks of duck along with smaller birds such as siskins begin to arrive.

A new pond for wildlife at our Redgrave and Lopham Fen nature reserve 🌾

This new pond features sloping edges and has transformed this area of fen ready to attract aquatic invertebrates, dragonflies, water voles, fen raft spiders and many more.

Yesterday we attended the launch of Red Fifty Five 📕

A beautiful collection of poetry by Laurel nominated poet Eliza O'Toole. The book features a collection of poems inspired by Eliza's love for the Suffolk landscape and the UK's endangered and vulnerable moths.

Martlesham Wilds wouldn’t have been possible without a legacy from Pam and George Ford, who in 2022 left a gift in their will to help purchase the land.
