The great irony of western liberal democracy is that within it lies the mechanisms that allow for its utter destruction. The pathway towards fascism and the conventional party's inability to thwart it. Which is why it needs constant safe guarding. By any means necessary.

It's easy for the complacent, the tired, the idealistic and the naïve to think that getting rid of the figure head and chief architects is sufficient. It is not. This is not a problem that can be solved with procedural reform, elections, or the ousting of party officials.

Does this mean anything of substance; no. I’m just a touch obsessed with things of this sort and it’s a constant across every project I’ve ever done.
