Our final word: A season that started under embargo with ownership in flux; a mid-season flirt with relegation; sneaking into the top 7 = just short of promotion after three ETs in front of nearly 30k Shrimpers. Disappointed? Of course. Proud? Damn right we are... #SUFCexiles
Our final word: Despite being a man down, Southend broke the Iron's resistance inspired by Leon's genius. Parillon was too hot to handle and Braintree were reeling when talisman GSM headed home. Blues need big characters to show up every time, not just some times... #SUFCexiles

What Shrimpers wanted for Christmas was for Southend to fulfil their potential. Although the first half of the season has been superior to the same period last campaign, Maher's men have so far failed to live up to the heights of the run took them to the playoffs... #SUFCexiles

Our final word: There are better sides than Blues in the NL right now, but Tamworth isn't one of them. Southend cannot afford to under perform if they are to have any hope of remaining in touch with the current top 6. Maher's men look set for another scrap for 7th... #SUFCexiles
