Crone. Reader. Trying to err on the side of compassion. Reminder: the most effective way to get what you need is to fight for everyone to get what they need.
Terrifying

The dollars we spend at Amazon and Microsoft, and our support of Google and Meta apps PAY for this destruction.

Boycott whenever possible.

Her book was so deeply felt. A must-read IMO.

Guess which in my state’s Congressional delegation are LGBTQ or women of color by this vote on House Res 719 honoring the legacy of Charlie Kirk, whose bigoted rhetoric is now, apparently, a shining beacon for our country.

@repricklarsen.bsky.social - you betrayed your colleagues with this vote.

Heard Bill McKibben last night. No scolding or rationing mentioned.

Read his latest book. There is no reason to suggest we give up trying to have a future on a planet that will sustain human life the way it does today. It’s the bare minimum.

It’s astounding that Bill McKibben still has the habit of hope for humanity’s future on the planet we are trying to so hard to break.

You won’t be sorry you read his latest book.

PLEASE have a well-developed sense of skepticism about any candidate or politician with a military background.

Of course, individuals who served are not all alike. That said, the military system in this country has been suspect for longer than I’ve been alive. Systems impact individual thinking.

Charlie Kirk was a victim of gun violence. His family are survivors of gun violence.

It seems this wasn’t the only time the Coldplay frontman has publicly suggested sending love to survivors of gun violence.

One of the reasons @schumer.senate.gov gave for voting with the GOP for the continuing resolution in March was that the courts were a check on Trump.

Surely he can see that’s not the case. Here are the Dem Senators who were responsible for surrendering any leverage in March.
September 8, 2025 at 5:10 PM
These are the traitorous Democrat Senators who voted with MAGA Senators in March to advance a budget bill that sacrificed the welfare of ordinary American families to reward the uber-wealthy with more tax cuts.

Maybe you should be talking g to your Democrat colleagues🙄

The MAGA regime tried to sneakily deport 600 unaccompanied minors to Guatemala in the middle of the night over this holiday weekend. They got stopped by a judge who was woken up at 2:37 AM, but I’m sure they will try something similar soon.

Here is what our government says about traveling there…

I did not know this.

Thanks for the work you do, and for helping to inform us about these important issues.

The current United States government is an enemy of humanity.
August 18, 2025 at 2:55 PM
Absolutely. Nature will get our attention one way or another. Humans did this. Our inability as a species to control our greed and carelessness did this.

Also, I wish everyone would read this book. One of the most accessible, brilliant and poetic books I’ve ever read on this topic or any other.
