Oreo, the world's softest, soppiest, cat. Lying on his back like a baby getting cuddles. When he comes in wet from rain, we bundle him in a towel & hold him like this to dry his tummy & paws, while he purrs so, so quietly.

My current work in progress. This is the back of a cardigan I'm making for my youngest in Sirdar Haworth tweed dk, which is finer than the Sirdar Country Classic dk my mum's using. She's a big lass so it was 233 stitches to thumb cast on, and that rib took 15 minutes per row, 32 of them!

Can't help thinking of Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Iran... The US didn't win in any of those conflicts. They cost a fortune, soldiers died, and the US Army left an even bigger mess.

Cathedral? What Cathedral? Believe it or not you can usually see Ely Cathedral in this view, but it's disappeared in the fog today.
