Every year my road does a Christmas lights turn on. We all do it together then gather around a tree for mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies.

Bryn Celli Ddu, Anglesey. An atmospheric space to stand inside. The sense of anticipation created by the modern approach to the site is very clever. On a sunny autumn day the hedgerows were full of nature's bounty. Well worth a visit

The last of my sunflowers actually made it home to my daughter
I have been growing sunflowers from seeds given out at my daughter's wedding last year. We don't live close and although I was hoping to give her a bouquet I don't think they will last until I next see her.
So I've been photographing each day and sending.

For the first time for many weeks I have my machines out and am actually making something. My life has been so full of other people's stuff that there has been no time for me. Today I stopped dealing with the world, stepped off and created.

We have a family of starlings in a tree at the bottom of the garden. Yesterday they left the nest. Today they are crash landing on the birdhouse & fences, trashing birdfeeders in joyous abandon and begging for food at full volume. Huge fun to watch.
