I have made my potential book cover for a project called Paper crafts for astronauts. It is really about arts in health and providing paper things to cut and paste. My thoughts were that astronauts are confined and perhaps bored representatives of beautiful Earth, too.

Should begin cooking, but have been pasting and splashing paints about.

I make textile designs from small shards of paper, many of which I have hand painted, made paste paints for or splattered. The modest squares are then smartened up, flipped, rotated and repeated in a digital file. Digital Fabrics, in Sydney, have been great supporters.

Last few for this morning. The spots only turn up when they are backlit. It is a wonderful world… and there is so much more we have to learn.

Sometimes Richard returns from dry stone wall making with a spot! Houses that we stayed in at Bookeroo had many spots. And I have seen them in coastal coves at Second Valley. All these photographs arrived whilst attending to my phenomenology thesis of the genius loci for artists’ consideration.

I have been at other lonely cemeteries in regional South Australia, where different colours have shown up. I can take a thousand photos before spotty ones arrive. I can’t plan it. I feel the presence of energy when it is about. Amyton, Lancelot and Eudunda cemeteries.

I have often thought about these pink lights at Burra Cemetary, taken during a partial eclipse of the sun. When I zoomed in on the pink shapes, the pink lights enlarged as well. That suggests it was not a dirty lens that caused the spots. Any suggestions? It felt very different energy at the time.

I cover the vegetables with old sheets and umbrellas when the forecast suggests it will be over 35C.

I would serve biscuits and cupcakes if visitors from Andromeda would be happy to visit.

The new printmaking machines. More glue reinforcements needed prior to test drive.

A few fuzzy space collages. It has always worried me that navy uniforms are worn inside white/ metal / black space interiors. No one takes things that truly represent Earth. That is why I think of lawn suit /shell helmet astronaut…often.

I have been preparing notes on Medium regarding so called ‘ridiculous’ collages. We need these wayward and instinctive ideas brought to form. I have old coffee table books of Australia, and I love their verisimilitude to Mars.

I am with the Artists of the Worlds End, making wildflower designs. Fresh cherries and fresh apricots help the process.

Some of the lenses I used in the Botanical Gardens, yesterday. Made from cardboard, sourced from around the home, magnifying glasses and a multiple layered, food wrap lens. These devices are a doorway to a world that is yet to be fully explored, between painting and photography.

A visit was made to the Adelaide Botanic Gardens before the temperature was to reach 37C. I am in the Friends of Botanic Gardens Photography Group. Amongst the fancy Leicas etc, they welcome my home made lenses.

A few further steps on my walk brought view of these enormous leaves. They look as though they are made of hand painted card.
