No Kings Day rally, Bridgton, Maine. We had about 1,500 participants!

I picked rhubarb with two women from the First Universalist Church of West Paris, Maine, for our annual Rhubarb Festival. The spot where we pick is at the original homestead of the woman sitting in the accompanying photo.
That's me on the left. I love this tradition.

There was a great turnout for the May Day protest in Bridgton, Maine, Thursday evening. We're encouraging media to engage, thus weekday protest. Reporters are not out there reporting on weekends. (There were as many protestors in the other direction and almost as many on the other side of the road.)

I participated in a Hands Off rally yesterday. The energy and the spirit of community were fantastic. In my rural area, we had 400+ people turnout, some with their furry family members.

Meira is very happy this Caturday. She finally has a new box that she likes (we had to throw the old one out that was falling apart, and no other one we tried would compare until we received a shipment in the same size as the old one).

Meira's winter morning ritual. I place one of her beds in front of the woodstove where she luxuriates - after a little bit of play time - until it's time for her breakfast.

Happy Caturday from Meira. Nothing better than a nap in the sun.

Meira is the queen of the stone wall. She is mostly an indoor cat (there are all sorts of wild animals around us that could harm her, and she has the instinct to go after birds, chipmunks, and squirrels) so I take her out in good weather for an hour or so, and stay with her the whole time.
