I'm intrigued by how categories in Connections are given difficulty colors. Purple is supposed to be trickiest, so it should generally show as the least commonly found first, but that is rarely the case.

The new "purple first" statistic is also probably going to start to throw that off even more.

I got a bottle of Crystal Pepsi in an Instacart ad, but it doesn't appear to be available or coming around again any time soon. So weird.

They released a fact sheet to help you clearly distinguish between the white cans and the (admittedly very similar) silver Diet Coke cans.

If you have to explain your branding, it didn't work.

We've been binging Severance, so my headcanon about tonight's incredibly slow Hurricanes-Flames game is that NHL players are severed, and their outies got woken up on the ice very confused.

There no way this one's right though.

First of all, can I ask whether the people who sealed this brand partnership have watched the show? Because... 😬

Given the week's news, I got nostalgic last night and made a thing. If you also have fond memories of this little piece of paper, have an SVG. Do something fun with it.

Here's a thing I bet you forgot existed... gmailswap.com, where people who have snagged one of those coveted new gmail addresses and also lucked up into having invite codes can help those who have not.

I continue to be delighted by how good Perplexity is. Today I saw a story that The Amazing Kreskin died. I only knew who he was because of a mention in a book I read as a kid, but I couldn't remember what it was.

A coworker told me he never googles anymore; he uses Perplexity. I was very skeptical but have been trying it and am super impressed. This morning I was trying to remember the difference between a diaresis and an umlaut (see last week's Strands), and these results both refer to the same blog post:
