A moment of absolute chaos at the Mendip Farmers joint meet in Devon yesterday, as the hunt desperately tried to get hounds onto a fox seen minutes earlier. Sabs were driven into and kicked, and all because the hunt were denied a kill. Truly pathetic. (1/2) youtu.be/24yEmPQrHF0

Quokka (Setonix brachyurus): 56cm (21in). This Australian mammal is a small macropod about the size of a domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as kangaroos and wallabies), the quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal. #quokka #marsupial #macropod #nature #australia

Every new dataset points to the same conclusion: eating more plants and fewer animal products lowers the risk of disease. Not just one disease, but several at once.

In 2024 the average fine for hunting a wild mammal with a dog under the Hunting Act 2004 was just £454.

This shows yet again that the Hunting Act is not working. Loopholes are exploited. Penalties are weak. Wildlife is still being chased and killed.

Lions kill animals, so why can't I? 🦁

This logic fail, known as the appeal to nature fallacy, suggests that just because something occurs in nature, it's morally acceptable.

We’re here to show the public and the UK government that breeding game birds in tiny cages is cruel and should be banned.

We’ve brought those cages here to show the reality. It's legal. It's cruel. It must end.
