Design engineer by day, Crafter by night.

I love to make, create, and learn.

Dressmaking, sewing, crochet, knitting, spinning, weaving, allotment. And any other craft that catches my attention.
I can only think of 3 ways temu's business model works to selling so cheap.
1) You don't get what's pictured, just some vastly cheaper version.
2) The person making it is being paid roughly nothing.
3) They get the cost of the item back other ways (your data).
Might be all 3.

I like charm for their multi bust size options, but it is vintage styled. Learning pattern drafting and working from your own base (bodice block) that you know fits you could be one solution if you don't find a company with a block that fits close enough to your needs.

I know that feeling. Every so often I google to see if there are any craft groups nearby I can join but they all meet at annoying times like wednesday mornings.

It's not in any particular order. I do need to work on my fabric stash list next though. So I know what I have to use. I try to buy with a pattern in mind but then I get distracted.

I thought about getting one till I found stitch 5 and the matching foot on my current sewing machine. I don't know what the stitch is called but really you only need something like a zig zag to bind up the raw edge. And zig zag works on stretch fine. I am with you on this one.

Slippery lining fabric. I know it's the best thing for coats and jackets inners, but if you wanna make me swear...

The closest historian is so good. It's so interesting being able to completely change the look of a pattern with just a few simple modifications. I know I should do it more, but have a list of patterns I still need to make.

Love this, makes me wanna make a patch work skirt with the leftovers from other garments.

My latest machine has these and it felt such an upgrade. Being able to slow down the machine when I'm doing something hard/detailed makes all the difference.

I am often unsure about machines with lots of stitch types. Honestly most people are unlikely to ever use them on a project.

Features I do love are:
Speed adjustment
Stitch length and width settings
Auto needle up/down
Auto buttonhole stitch (does it all in one)
