Really enjoyed today facilitating a trustee board away day for @arthritisaction.org.uk . Lots of great discussion. Left with the impression of a strong engaged board and an air of excitement about where the organisation is going.

MSK conditions are a leading cause of disability and absence from work, yet @WeAreARMA’s latest report reveals that 1 in 3 ICBs fail to meaningfully reference MSK in their plans.

A strategic, system-wide approach is needed! Read the report & recommendations: arma.uk.net/icb/

Day 2 of MSK 2024 opening with Anthony Gilbert outlining MSK outreach to foodbanks, homeless and drug and alcohol services. Amazing work delivering equity to people who need the service but can't access via traditional services.

Powerful stuff from Chloe Stewart today. Are we delivering outdated paternalistic interventions that no longer meet our needs? Or are we delivering truly personalised care that hears what matters to people and shares power. #MSKInequalities

A privilege to speak at the MSK 2024 conference this morning on health inequalities. If only 20% of our health is driven by healthcare but the rest is hard to change, we need to make that 20% really count.

Packing to travel to Birmingham for tomorrow’s opening of #MSK2024 conference. Really looking forward to opening the two days of discussion of MSK health inequalities. Important issues that we can all do something about, however small. Together we make a difference.

Putting finishing touches to my presentation for #MSK conference 2024 next week. A key note on why we should care about MSK health inequalities, an ARMA workshop on what to do about it and a chance to contribute to the NHS 10 year plan consultation.

Health inequalities in MSK services are stark. People in deprived areas develop MSK conditions earlier and face worse outcomes.

This Bone and Joint Week, we must push for truly equitable access to services and better support for those most affected.

Here in London today for an ARMA members meeting to discuss what we can do together to improve services for people with MSK conditions. Appropriate timing as it is Bone and Joint Week. This year's theme #JoinedUpForJoints None of us can do it alone.
