One thing I don’t understand is why, when people are outraged by some injustice or affront — like book bans — they don’t first look to see who is already tracking the issue, who’s already working on education + organization. “We need to do something!” People *are*. Find them. Help them.

A bill in Louisiana, HB 777, would make it a crime for librarians to use public funds to join the American Librarian Association or attend an ALA conference, punishable with prison time and hard labor for up to two years.

Already turned in one book revision this week. Have a chapter and outline due for another project. Then a book due next week. And another the week after that. So I left my computer at home and spent three days in the country. No photos of the eclipse but I did take these.
