I think its due to the staggered release schedule. Season 5 is solid but not good enough to justify dropping it in 3 chunks.

I keep seeing people ask, "How is this different from DMZ, Hunt, or Tarkov?" I think that's fundamentally missing the point. Marathon seems to be an attempt at distilling the essence of what an extraction shooter is and delivering that without too much barrier to entry or re-entry after failure.

This type of stuff is part of the reason I refuse to play Fortnite, no offense intended to those who do.
