So I requested a raise with HR and was told they'd only do one if it was a merit based raise where I could prove I do more than average to deserve it, and before I even arranged to do anything my boss vouched for me so my raise got approved!

Dudes I've worked here two years and no one told me staff could get free equine therapy 😭Like I'm absolutely signing up for it now, horses are one of the animals that I haven't ever really gotten to interact with much so it would be amazingly cool to get to do this

I've really come to really enjoy my meditation time. It took a while to be able to not have the ADHD brain constantly racing and bouncing around, but now I can have relative stillness while observing thoughts that do pass by and it's very grounding and peaceful. Still highly recommend it to everyone

I think when my friend goes home this Saturday I'll be ready to start drawing again. I've sort of taken it easy for a while focusing on my physical and mental health, as well as my career/animal care team stuff, but I've been itching to start again and I'm just going to start small and work back up

Had a great time at the aquarium today! Photos soon, I've been lazy entertaining company haha
The aquarium people made the experience super accessible for my blind friend too, they were great at describing the animals and helping guide her hand to pet things in the pools, they were 10/10

I was planning on likely getting Chikorita for my ZA playthrough (though I was considering Totodile if the Mega was cool enough) and 😭 Mega Meganium is so adorable I love it so much, my brother and I are gonna be flower friends

Aquarium day got moved to tomorrow but we went to the farmers market and got some really good food and my baby got me this beautiful ring and we met this cool enby artist that I exchanged information with, now we're getting Gelato, I'm having a great day ;v;

Went to the planetarium and got to watch a really cool star show about dark matter narrated by Neil deGrasse Tyson and the dome theater was so awesome! I went with two space nerds so it was extra fun!

We reached out to the sweet lady who does the porch pickup baked goods to ask about her brownies because my out of state friend wanted to try some and she made us an entire box + her sour dough bread 😭💙

Finally got around to preordering Pokemon ZA, I'm excited to see what mystery pin I get 😊
Won't have time to play it until a few days after it releases which is fine because my friend is still visiting until then, and I've been lucky to avoid most spoilers until now, hope that lasts!

Ahhhh! We have so many cool activities planned while my friend is visiting! We're going to the planetarium, the aquarium, fall festival and corn maze, a Native American cultural festival, and at the end of the week we're going to an LGBTQ+ bookstore for an event, I'm excite! Hope my energy holds ;w;

I never really mentioned this but about two weeks ago my little brother was on a field trip with his class and one of the students brought a loaded gun and tragically took his life. My brother fortunately went to the stream with his friend and unlike so many other kids he was lucky not to see it
