How do you make these images? Is this a Spotify thing or something?

For whatever reason I just can't listen to them anymore. Something about the medium itself feels tired and repetitive. I can't put my finger on why though. Maybe it's just me.

I read that Joyce had that conclusion with *Portrait of an Artist*. He had a bunch of material in the original version that he felt that he had to include because it really happened. But eventually, he realized that the material didn't really contribute anything to the novel.

I do like that bsky functions as a decentralized protocol. So even if the corporation failed, you could export your data and move your following to a private server. But of course no one will do that. Half the point of social media is that you don’t have to be a computer scientist to use it.

The CEO of Bsky has said they won’t play ads, so what then? Will it become a subscription-based service? Honestly, I think it will probably just remain a niche benefit corporation. It will be like the public library, while Twitter will be like Amazon.

I think it works.

Twitter still feels more high stakes. But people are more open here, so it might work better as an actual networking tool.

Are there even that many people on here?
