It doesn't just apply to the Left; it's the impetus for the Uniparty. Once either side gains control, the purity tests begin, and the other side feigns open-mindedness. I've found that the only people who seem to truly value diversity of thought are those who are equally hated by the Right and Left.

The label is just an internal categorization of content to make the moderation system more efficient. Posts can be placed in Adult Content, Sexually Suggestive, and other categories so users can choose to see or NOT see certain types of posts. They're just a little more upfront with the labels here.

They're essentially speeding up their irrelevance in the social media sphere. Building something engaging AND positive takes a lot of time and a much deeper understanding of society and social engagement than simply spitting out a "Free Speech" mantra and pimpin' out "Grok" on every other post.

Correct on all points. The toxicity level there keeps getting worse and worse. Elmo doesn't have the emotional intelligence to keep public discourse from devolving. Remember when social media had some sense of community and positive reinforcement? Elmo's Playground has become the antithesis of that.

Correct. Their algorithms act like a giant sieve when it comes to any external links. They'll claim that it's to stop malicious content, but the purpose is to feed X and keep you and any information shackled to the platform.

...that set the stage for Bluesky to have to clarify and modify the Guidelines. But they are culpable. Porn is already stigmatized. The last thing *consenting adults* need is to be further stigmatized by people who have a penchant for pushing things until everything that did work stops working.

If there weren't a small, albeit very vocal, contingent of rape-pedo-bestiality proponents who demand their fantasies be played out very publicly on Bluesky, the flagging/labeling would hardly be an issue. There's no porn ban here, and the sexual predators in training aren't the only ones...

I've never felt the need to "explore" rape, bestiality, or anything involving sex where I forgo consent. It's clear you have issues, and a very public community isn't the place where you should be "exploring" your fantasies.

Why would they be banned when the guidelines being pointed to are specifically talking about non-consensual sexual content—rape and sexual assault? Why not just find a place where they like rape, pedophilia, bestiality, etc.? I guess that's really hard to find. Why do you think that is, dipshit?
