100% agree. Face scans can be discriminatory and invades privacy. These are not real problem solvers but lobbied their way into the law by vested interests

@evangreer.bsky.social , the intent is not bad but the botched implementation of it makes it worse.
There are a few privacy preserving solution that can prove age without a face scan or revealing any of your PII. We have built one such cryptography solution.

@dreamwidth.org , we can help you get out of the woods here. Check out our quick demo of UK NHS age verification. We can enable the same for Mississippi with SSA/DMV data in 36 hrs. Totally privacy-preserving. No PII leaves the user device. DMs open

This is true with the existing tech solutions @davidshoebridge.bsky.social but these solutions are more about lobbying than solving the actual problem. Technology need not have to be a barrier. You can solve it if there is intent.
Check out how we are solving it. No PII leaves user device in this!

Agreed that KYC and face scan are bad. Why not use some privacy preserving solutions like the one we built ReclaimProtocol? www.loom.com/share/55a058...

@deck.blue , do reach out to me. We can leverage zero-knowledge proofs to generate privacy preserving age verification approach. Here is a quick demo for you to see:

Face scan invades privacy. Why not use zkPs to generate privacy preserving proofs of user DOB/age? Any thoughts?
