While working on a nday vulnerability research project, we stumbled upon a vulnerability in the core of the TCP subsystem of the Linux kernel. We reported it upstream, which was fixed in May of last year. This blog post shares how we came across it and our vulnerability analysis.
Accidentally uncovering a seven years old vulnerability in the Linux kernel
While doing that research, we accidentally discovered a vulnerability in the core of the TCP subsystem of the Linux kernel. It had been introduced seven years earlier.

My most used keyboard shortcut at the #Linux and #macOS CLI:

CTRL + a (go to the start of line)

CTRL + e (go end of the line)

CTRL + L (clear the screen)

CTRL + r (recall bash history)

What about you?

@bsky.app is so much nicer than twitter. I don't care for your insane, twisted political nonsense but I can curate my feed easier here, the algorithm seems like early twitter and no ads

A web technology that feels very under-utilized: server-side events for pushing data from the server to the browser.

Much less resource intensive than websockets. And yet, many devs reach for websockets when they do not need two-way streaming!

But Jesus is a king who serves, who suffers, who accepts defeat rather than use violence, who forgives his enemies, who turns down worldly power as a temptation of the devil, who loves his enemies. We must use Jesus' own understanding of king. And in the end, love, not power, triumphs with Jesus.
