I want to watch their local newscast to so I can make note of who is advertising and promptly boycott but it’s insufferable. Every newscast consists of a 10 min segment rehashing a violent crime committed years ago by an “illegal” or 10 mins demonizing the local school system. Every. Single. Night.

Yes absolutely. Never said racism wasn’t an issue. Repubs have been claiming that taxes used to help POC is socialism since the 1860. Racism has always been rampant here. My state was one of the last to ratify the 14th amendment. The propaganda machine kicked it into a higher gear in the past 25 yrs

As has been the case for centuries. But no one addressed my point of why my county was blue 25 years ago but is now voting 70% red. From the inside it looks to be scant opportunity for making a living wage, change in public school curriculum to exclude civics, and a well oiled propaganda machine.

And their propaganda machine is massive. Faux news on in local businesses and drs offices. Their campaign signs are still up in some places. Bots galore on local media and community pages. Local tv affiliate now Fox. Local newspapers now corporate owned.

Plus all of our blue collar jobs left and went overseas. Quality of living plummeted. NAFTA was passed during Clinton’s tenure, I believe.

There is some energy brewing among Gen XYZ, thankfully. I’m old, tired, and demoralized. I’ve only witnessed Dems here ceding power to the right after fighting the good fight for 25 years. Incidentally, we tried for years to get youth engaged to no avail.

Yes. We’re in a very gerrymandered district but by design to reduce red reps. I’m in a blue state thankfully but my rep is full on MAGA.
