I can’t speak about realism bc I really dunno how a horse would deal with having an injured leg, but I think it’s less about that and more about the whimsy! I don’t think it’s so out of place for V to have a horsey brace in au where they share apples and press their long snouts together in affection

Then, the sound of Viktor’s footsteps approached slowly, his gait uneven, the clinking of metal against bone echoing louder with each step.
