Europe was mistaken to put so much reliance on the USA. Both in trade and security as Trump's moves indicate his motive to squeeze & destabilise. Europe needs a more unified, decisive approach and the world is in turmoil so it's time to cut loose and step up.

The quest to obtain power does predictable things to those that seek it. Unfortunately in the case of many dictators they were bad people before and getting what they want just makes them a hell of alot worse.
