Working on implementing a LiDAR concept for Falling Frontier.

Still very much in-progress, but the goal is to integrate it into the existing Fog of War system/Uber shader.

An immense undertaking from all sides, but worth it. Here's the idea at work in an isolated Unity scene.

2025 has seen significant work across every part of Falling Frontier.

We've pulled these systems together so that the game's art, tools, combat, & worldbuilding all speak the same language.

Here's a development update.

To create a richer and fuller world in Falling Frontier, there are systems for background ambient traffic. Transports move between logistical bases so that the endless void of space doesn't feel quite as empty.

We showed the start of this battle last week. Here's the end of it.

The Titan Frigates have successfully dispatched the Pirate Frigates. You can see some physicalized destruction of the enemy ships.

Two Titan frigates, a Berwick class & a Coventry class, engage in battle with two Pirate Frigates, Kongo class & Ryofu class.

Here's the start of the battle, including tactical overlay & target designation.

Something a little different this week -- a brief preview of the campaign map for Falling Frontier.

This is what you'll see when you are first given permission to leave Anders Station, an Anchorage situated within the Forge.

Another look at the internal explosion process in Falling Frontier -- this time in motion.

Physics determines the movement of debris, so explosions will look slightly different depending on where the final death blow lands.

A long-range Titan cruiser. This rig comes equipped with a drone bay at the rear, cruise missiles, and class 5 main weapons.

Making some significant under the hood improvements to the Falling Frontier ship designer so it displays tooltips for equipped and inspected modules.

A moment captured in time. A medium station ripped apart by an internal explosion.

The Falling Frontier destruction process uses physics to push debris around an explosion point.

This sequence uses simple volumetric spheres + animated sprite sheets & motion vectors for the explosions.
