entirely separate but overlapping! the bit sits on its own strap so it still has some movement that allows you to give the actual rein cues and lets the horse chew/move the bit :] this first pic shows it pretty nicely i think. you can leave the noseband out entirely if you want to as well!

if u wanna make outright characters i do think interactivity is important outside of the toy itself, like makin some comics or sth yknow. let people actually care instead of just droppin paragraphs. also you can interpret "soundwave is so cool i want him" however you like. its all true. ok sorry

sorry i know im saying this with a soundwave icon but imo theres a difference between a full show/franchise thats supposed to make you wanna buy a toy by going "oh soundwave is so cool i want him" and a blurb on backerkit about a weighted plushie thats advertised design-first yknow.

THERES A LOT. no brow band w that setup. standard mistake of attaching the bit to the same cheekpiece as the noseband instead of them sitting on separate straps. the weird leather pad on the noseband and crown piece? should be sheepskin...so much goin on here

the black leather part he's sitting on should be the part that has the girth, not that weird nondescript brown sublayer. as it is he'd slide right off like this. i like to image it happening right after
