They remixed songs from across the entire Mario franchise including obscure games and songs that a lot of people, including the thousands of kids getting the game, have never heard before.

Not only would this be a QoL update it would work as promoting the NSO apps.

We should not have to do research to learn who voices these iconic characters especially now that recasts are happening.

At the moment we don't even know the new VA for Peach, Toad & Toadette. She legitimately has to announce it herself instead of us simply reading the Credits.

In case any new people read this, I want to reiterate that I welcome the new Voice Actors with open arms. As sad as I am to see the older VAs leave, I'm happy that new people can portray the characters.

Nintendo loves to recycle voice clips so I was afraid they wouldn't recast.

What's worse is that this might not even be new for Nintendo, does anyone know if Jen Taylor or Scott Burns have talked about their recasting? Was it as sudden as this?

It really sucks to see everyone go with no fanfare, Samantha Kelly was Princess Peach for almost 20 years.

Without going into spoilers, the ending is so different that Disney straight up can't remake the sequels even if they wanted to.

On one hand this means an actual different experience so it's "worth" watching but on the other hand it's mostly bad changes so why even bother?

A vague spoiler but important to know:
The Final Fantasy 7 Remake Trilogy is a sequel & not a traditional remake.

It plays with the player's expectations with actual plot twists & overhauls to certain sections along with expanding the story.

Play the Original FF7 first.

And with that, I'm now "caught up" and can get excited for whenever Remake Part 3 is revealed & released.

It's been very interesting playing through this as while I don't remember everything from the Original FF7, I was able to recognize a decent amount of changes to the story.

Ended up quitting so I could try again after cooling down and I won on the first try so I wasn't angry during the cutscenes but that almost ruined the ending for me.

Since it's not just me that hates that part of the fight, hopefully FF7 Remake Part 3 doesn't have that crap.

Every now & then I have the curiosity of seeing if the content got any better or actually got even worse but then I remember that all the Mario characters got redesigned and I'm like "Why even bother? It'll never be as good as Pre-Jeffy SML" and even then it's probably nostalgia.

At least this confirms that Pauline is now a reoccurring character (only took 4 decades despite MvDK) but it's honestly baffling to me that you wouldn't keep the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe roster besides Miis & Guest Characters.

We're getting yet another Mario Kart without Diddy Kong.

Seriously, how did they not start with "ok let's pull a Smash Ultimate and bring back everyone, we have the space for them" and then add new characters?

At this point it's a miracle Pauline got in because she could've easily been cut when Kamek got turned into an Item.
