Fear of judgement or being seen as immoral is partially what caused so much self loathing and guilt over my sexual eccentricities when I was a teen. Fear of ostracization made me feel terrible about myself.

It’s obviously fine to personally dislike sex or to have no interest in it, but to police others to such a degree especially when it’s harmless kinks is really annoying at the least and incredibly damaging the lives of those expressing sexuality at worst. Obvi it’s nuanced etc but just my thoughts.

I hate how puritanical people can be about sexual expression. It feels like gen z is really bad about this in general with almost an aversion to expression of sexuality at a cultural level. Like unwillingness to engage in sex in media like movies and art.
