To most this is just a POV from inside my car, in a garage. But for me, being in a car, in a garage, in a house is more than what meets the eye. It’s proof sobriety works. It’s a fucking symbol of hard work and sleepless nights. May not mean much to you, but to me it’s fucking everything.

My rescue was Ruby as well. She passed a week after my wedding in 2022. She knew that my now wife was capable to taking care of me. Ruby helped me get and stay sober. I’ll forever be in her debt.
