Wow! Knew it wasn't Marksbury Rd as nobody ever read the papers there. Not even us staff.

The Bord's books are all a study in thoughtfulness.

I'm OK thanks Frenchi - had a lot in that real life place which is all thankfully subsiding so I can get back to skiving on Social Media a bit more! How about you? X

Morning Frenchi! Same to you - Thursday already 😀.

It's fabulous, isn't it? A calm, funny, fascinating listen - and on my desk right this moment 😀?

I did try being very disciplined and just dipping in for 30 mins at a time, but it soon unravels.. if I'm going to not do something it's easier to not do it at all! I'll be around more soon. How's the newest member of the house?

Hi Martin! Very kind to ask! I've just been taking a bit of a break from Social Media all round, got a lot on and it absorbs the attention like a black hole 😀. Hope all fab with you and yours!

My friend's was FB messenger and Insta. She's locked lots of stuff down now and seriously thinned out her friends list. She's angry, but I think it's the way she's just kind of almost resigned to its inevitability of it even happening that chimed with what you said.

Ooh - didn't realise you'd deleted - I'm just really, fucking disappointed that even people I've met can think it's acceptable. Obvs I knew it happened but hadn't seen it up close.

Remembered this exchange talking with a close friend earlier - she stayed off social media Dec & Jan, came back and she showed me the sheer amount of (sadly) male bullshit she's already received, including people she knows. I just can't fathom the mentality. As her friend it upset me. So sorry.

Ours has been festooned with bricks since October. It still tries to escape - give it half a chance it'd be Steve McQueen-ing it over next door's fence.

In any city with a big financial sector the average wage - taken across the board - is so skewed as to be meaningless. It's like including the players, board, manager and stadium staff of Man City and concluding that ticket office staff are on £7,000 per week. You have to discount outliers.

Mr Benn has stayed with me in an odd subliminal way - we not only live in a street that bears a strong resemblance to Festive Road, but I mentally hear the "Festive Road" tune when walking towards home but also the "hurry" tune when in a rush. Nearest costume shop is bloody miles way though.

Ah, the false dawns of physical recovery 😞. Still, a day writing is never wasted (I nearly finished typing that without laughing: last day I devoted to writing I ended up clearing out the attic).
