A good organization to support! - I used to work at that chapter and remember working at a Purple Gala in 2012. Galas are hard work. I work in fundraising at the Wilder Foundation and ours is tomorrow.

I'm sorry I didn't go to this one! I've been to two of their other classes.

IYou summed it up so well - "If you were a lucky, privileged citizen, you worked from home, met friends for happy hour over Zoom, and ordered groceries to be delivered." I feel privileged now, too. I'm not a federal employee. Yes, we need to hold on tight to what we still have.

They can both be important at the same time.

Art is important, and coming across one of your beautiful paintings as I'm scrolling through the bad news is wonderful. I'm trying to paint every day - even if it's only for a short time.

Reading Heather Cox Richardson's post this morning gave me hope for the first time.

I love your cooking classes, but it would also be great to be part of a group that had dinner and cooked together. I've met so many people at ASI that I'd like to keep seeing.

They're honestly - not very nice stores. No quality fabric and supplies anymore - just a bunch of crafty garbage. There are a few independent sewing stores in the Twin Cities that actually sell quality items and deserve our business. Not sad to see Joann go away.

If the president can just ignore what is appropriated by the Congress, then citizens can decide to stop spending on anything but essentials, and bring the economy to a halt. Fight fire with fire. For most of us, our only power comes from what we spend money on.

You'll need to do this one again! Sorry we missed it.

The arts are important now more than ever. Create!

We need Hotdish during these weird and difficult times. If there was ever a time for comfort food, this is it.

I can't do it either. I liked posting my pictures on there, but it's over for me. I'm glad you're here too!
