He was deported to #Auschwitz from #Theresienstadt ghetto on 28 September 1944. He perished in #Dachau on 24 January 1945.

15 November 1941 | A Dutch Jewish boy, Robert Julius de Vries, was born in Haarlem.

In March 1944 he was deported to #Auschwitz with his mother Lea. On 5 March they were murdered together in a gas chamber after the selection.

16 November 1896 | German Jew, Franz Daus, was born in Hamburg. He left Germany to Norway in 1937.

He arrived at #Auschwitz on 1 December 1942 and was registered in the camp after the selection. He perished there on 13 December 1942.

10 November 1929 | A Czech Jewish woman, Helga Hošková-Weissová, was born in Prague.

Deported from Theresienstadt ghetto to #Auschwitz in Oct 1944. Her father was murdered in a gas chamber. Helga & her mother were moved to Freiberg & liberated in Mauthausen.

Today she turns 96. Happy Birthday!

In October 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz. She did not survive. Her younger brother Max (in the picture) was murdered in a gas chamber.

The massacre was the final act of Operation Reinhard - the murder of Polish Jews in GG.

4 November 1939 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Anne Marjorie de Vries, was born in Amsterdam.

In September 1944, she was deported to #Theresienstadt ghetto with her mother Berta, and her sister Marianne Anne. From there, they were deported to #Auschwitz on 4 October. All were killed in a gas chamber.

Construction began at Bełżec extermination camp on this day in 1941.

The decision to construct three extermination camps was made at the Wannsee Conference of 1942, at Bełżec, Sobibór and Treblinka.

29 October 1904 | Polish Jew Chaim Sznajder was born in Warsaw. He emigrated to France.

On 25 June 1942 he was deported from #Pithiviers to #Auschwitz.

He perished in the camp on 12 August 1942.
His wife Marjam survived the war.

28 October 1944 | A transport of 1,308 Jewish women prisoners left #Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp. They were transferred to KL Bergen-Belsen.

Most probably among them were sisters Anne and Margot Frank who died there of typhus in February 1945.

25 October 1944 | The administration of KL Dachau transferred to Auschwitz a group of 1,024 Jewish prisoners who were sick and unable to work.

4 prisoners died at the station before the transport departed. Most probably, the whole group was murdered in the gas chambers right after their arrival.

25 November 1894 | A Dutch Jew, Bob Hanf, was born in Amsterdam. A painter, writer, violinist & composer.

He was arrested on 23 April 1944 & incarcerated in #Westerbork. From there, he was deported to #Auschwitz where he perished in September 1944.

In August 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and, after selection, murdered in a gas chamber. His younger brother, Levie was killed with her.
